Data deletion

Delete your data

MoonEase keeps your mixes and settings on your device. Here is how to remove them, and how to remove the anonymous download identity if you created one.

Delete data on your device

Almost everything MoonEase holds is local to your phone. You have three options:

Deleting is permanent. Local data may be unrecoverable once removed. Back up your data first if you might want your mixes and history later.

Delete your download identity

The anonymous download identity is only created if you download a Premium sound pack. If you never did, there is nothing to delete. You can stop here.

If you did, open Settings → Your data in the app and use Delete protected download account. This removes the private download identity from the server and from this device. Sounds you already downloaded stay on your device, and you can restore your store subscription later with a new identity.

If an option described here is not visible in your app, that feature is not in use on your device and there is no identity to delete.

What deletion does not do

Deleting the app or your download identity does not cancel or refund your subscription. MoonEase Premium renews until you cancel it in your App Store or Google Play account. That is the only place a renewal can be stopped. If you want a refund, request it from Apple or Google, who decide under their own policies.

Deletion also does not reach:

If you need help

If you cannot reach the in-app controls. For example you no longer have the device, email jpottstudios@gmail.com and describe what you need removed. Do not include passwords in the email.

Note that the download identity is anonymous by design: it holds no email address, no name, and none of your mixes. Deletion removes that identifier and its access to protected downloads.
